“What is Brizza?” you may ask? Well I shall tell you: it’s pizza baked on bread! Whole wheat bread, in fact, making it all the more healthier. It’s also the ultimate portion control – since it’s baked on only one slice, there is no ‘reaching for another piece’, one of the main reasons people overeat on the idolized Italian dish. My version is easy to make and super quick (it takes me under 5 minutes). No added oil, low fat cheese and heart-healthy marinara sauce. It doesn’t get any better than this, bella!
Step 2) Spread sauce on bread
Step 3) Sprinkle cheese (I used Cabot’s 75% Reduced Fat Cheddar) & seasonings
Step 4) Bake at 350°F for around 5 minutes (until cheese starts to brown)
